Attendance

Government targets for attendance are 95%.

We will be including the class and whole school attendance figures for each week on weekly comms, please help us to achieve this target.

This is an amazing attendance for our school this week – Well done!

Christmas Fair donations

We need your help to ensure that the Christmas fair on Sunday 2nd December is a great success!

Please can you send in any unwanted wrapping paper and any bottle gift bags – any design.

We also need chocolate items and bottles of wine for the chocolate and bottle tombola.

Thank you so much if you have already donated.

Please bring any items in the next 2 weeks so that our brilliant Friends team can get everything organised.

LEGO request for KS2

We would be grateful if you could donate any unwanted Lego to the school. This would be used by the Key Stage 2 classes during indoor playtimes at times of bad weather. Thank you for any donations.

Poppy donations

Thank you for your Poppy Day donations – we will let you know the total raised when it’s been confirmed but the collection box is very heavy!!

Baguettes for lunch today – Jackets or sweet and sour chicken and rice. Please book during registration.

Duncan Burgess will be in school in the afternoon to work with our Sports Leaders – PE kits required.

Forest school for Earth Class pm – Please bring Forest school clothes to change into after lunch.

Violins for our Class violinists – Mars and Neptune – PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD TO BRING THEIR VIOLIN. Lessons will start at 9am for Neptune and 9.45 for Mars Class.

Dates for your diary

Monday 19th November – Head of Steam Museum representative visiting school to talk about our topic.

Thursday 22nd November – Rev. Sheilagh in Collective Worship to update us on her visit to Tony in Uganda.

Week beginning Monday 26th November: We will be finishing our school topic on machines by holding a series of car shows – vintage, Porsche and police vehicles – on the school playground during the afternoon. Friends will be selling hot chocolate on one of these afternoons.

Sunday 2nd December – Christmas Fair, South Otterington Village Hall

12th December – Friends’ School Christmas Party in the school hall – we will let you know when the payment request will be available on the gateway. This will replace the planned school disco. Hotdogs, biscuit refreshments will be served.
