Weekly Communications

Weekly comms below for week commencing: 14th January 2019.

Dear Parents,

We are very excited to be welcoming the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu to school on Thursday 24th January 2019. We hope you can join us in a short Collective Worship service in St Andrew’s at 10.15am. This will be hosted by our Collective Worship Stars and we will all be singing the songs we have been learning  for this very special occasion.

All parents are warmly invited into school on Tuesday 22nd January 3.30pm-4pm, for refreshments, from and an opportunity to look at all the fabulous displays the children have worked on for the start of our topic on Journeys.

We would also like  to invite Y6 parents to a Parent SATs Information meeting on Monday 21st January at 3.40pm  in the  school hall. If you are unable to attend please let the office know, so we can forward all the information to you.

Government targets for attendance are 95%.

 

We will be including the class and whole school attendance figures for each week on weekly comms, please help us to achieve this target.

 

Mars:       99.41%

Neptune:   98.40%

Earth:       97.33%

Venus:      97.20%

 

Whole school: 98.16%

 

Minutes late:

 

This week we have lost 89 minutes in lateness – please ensure your child is on time as we are disappointed by this figure.

Please arrive from 8.45am to ensure your child can be settled and ready to begin lessons on time.

 

 

PE KIT REQUEST FROM MRS UMPLEBY

 

Please ensure that your child has a PE kit in school ALL WEEK.

 

All children need a pair of outdoor trainers for outdoor PE.

 

PARKING:

 

Please can all parents remember that the layby is for drop off only – please do not park.

 

MUSIC LESSONS:

 

Mars and Neptune have a violin lesson each week with Mr Hills please make your donation via the gateway. Thank you if you have already donated. Please return your slips to Mrs Parker.

Mystery Reader in Venus class this afternoon.

 

Year 5/6 Netball after school club with Mrs Umpleby – 3.30pm till 4.30pm

Violins for our Class violinists – Mars and Neptune – PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD TO BRING THEIR VIOLIN. Lessons will start at 9am for Neptune and 9.45 for Mars Class.
