On the afternoon of Thursday 17th October 2019, eleven of our KS2 children travelled to Thirsk to take part in the Hambleton Area Cross Country finals. It was an extremely tough competition as they were running against the finalists from schools from Northallerton, Thirsk, Stokesley and Easingwold. They all ran really well and did the school proud. On Monday 14th October 2019 our school Yr 5/6 girls football team (including 2 girls from Yr 3 and 4), took part in the small schools football competition at Hambleton Leisure Centre. They played 3 matches. They won the first 1-0, the second 2-0 and the third 4-0. This made them the overall winners of the competition and they will be going on to play in the Hambleton Area Finals on Wednesday. Very well done girls, you did so...
Some of our Year 4 children enjoyed a range of ‘digital’ activities at an event which was held at Catterick Leisure Centre this week. The Swaledale Alliance organised the day, which was attended by a number of local schools. The children worked really well in their groups and were able to try some new resources, such as: Crumble Controllers; QR Readers; MagicTatts and Osmo Coding to name but a few.
