Hambleton Area Cross Country Finals

On the afternoon of Thursday 17th October 2019, eleven of our KS2 children travelled to Thirsk to take part in the Hambleton Area Cross Country finals. It was an extremely tough competition as they were running against the finalists from schools from Northallerton, Thirsk, Stokesley and Easingwold. They all ran really well and did the school proud. South Otterington girls football

On Monday 14th October 2019 our school Yr 5/6 girls football team (including 2 girls from Yr 3 and 4), took part in the small schools football competition at Hambleton Leisure Centre. They played 3 matches. They won the first 1-0, the second 2-0 and the third 4-0. Digital Leaders

Some of our Year 4 children enjoyed a range of ‘digital’ activities at an event which was held at Catterick Leisure Centre this week. The Swaledale Alliance organised the day, which was  attended by a number of local schools. The children worked really well in their groups and were able to try some new resources, such as: Crumble Controllers; QR Readers; MagicTatts and Osmo Coding to name but a few.
